Partial journal of a whaling voyage to the Atlantic, Indian, Pacific, and Arctic Oceans in addition to the Okhotsk Sea, East China Sea, and the Sea of Japan. Includes descriptions of whales seen or taken, children at sea, women on ships, and interactions with natives. Also contains whale stamps, accounts, and a crew list. The captain brought his wife and son on the voyage. The keeper notes that a piano was sent onshore at at Honolulu on November 8, 1858. The crew saw a "dead man afloat" on August 4, 1859.
